CHINA

The consulate of China in Frankfurt informs that several visa requirements have changed for the following visa categories:

Multiple-entry visas:

are normally only possible with an official invitation. An exception may be done by the Consular Section in Frankfurt, if a company invitation is submitted in connection with a former multiple-entry visa. The old multiple visa should be in the current passport. If this is not the case, you have to enclose a good copy of the old visa together with the new application. But even under these conditions, the issuance of multiple entry visa based on company invitations is in the discretion of the consular section.

Business visa with double entries or a length of stay of more than 30 days:

Except for a single entry visa with a max. length of stay of 30 days an official invitation by the appropriate Chinese ministry, the provincial government or the Foreign Trade Commission. If such is not available, there must be at least an expired visa of the desired category included in the current passport, which is not older than 1 year.

Tourist visa with double entries or a length of stay of more than 30 days:

Except for a single entry visa with a max. length of stay of 30 days the consulate requires booking documents, which show the necessity of the requested visa type.
